Do you know the world's three greatest job interview tips?
Last night a wise man spoke to me in a dream. He told me the three greatest job interview tips in the world.
I listened in awe as he spelt them out. And as I heard them I knew I was receiving insights of the highest order. Unsurpassable truths from a brilliant guru - one of the finest the world has ever known.
Each tip was a powerful idea that would transform the interview experience of any candidate. Each tip was a diamond encrusted, golden nugget of wisdom. Over the years I've heard many job interview tips, but none like these.
These were unbeatable and unforgettable.
Steinlen to the rescue
This morning I'd like to share these tips with you. But sadly I can't remember them.
I was discussing this with Steinlen, the local ginger cat, and in a rare gesture of friendship he has given me his three greatest job interview tips. He says it's OK for me to pass them on to you.
So here they are. My greatest hope is that as you try to advance your career these tips might be of help.
Tip 1
Never eat unfamiliar insects before an interview
I'd not heard this one before, but Steinlen swears by it. He says that people are nervous before their big ordeal and should stick to safe and familiar foods, lest they suffer severe indigestion or worse during the questioning.
Tip 2
Keep the profanities to a minimum
Steinlen believes any kind of swearing in the presence of the interview panel will be unhelpful. Steer clear of coarse comments or vulgar jokes. Above all avoid making obscene or offensive remarks about the interviewers or members of their family.
Tip 3
Try not to snore loudly
We all doze from time to time. If the interview is held in a warm room and you're seated on a comfy chair you're bound to nod off at some point. That may be excusable, but what you mustn't do is slip into high volume, industrial strength snoring. This is indicative of deep sleep and will certainly hinder your chances of being selected for the job.
Good luck
I'd like to thank Steinlen for allowing me to share these with you. If you think they might help, by all means give them a try.
Whatever you decide to do, good luck with your job hunting.
